"There was a girl named Helga, whose parents owned a summerhouse outside Reykjavik. It was so far out that it had no neighbors, except an old farmer who kept a small flock of sheep. “Mostly for company these days,” he said. “And to keep my dogs entertained.” He had two dogs, both black and white with bright eyes and tails that curled up."
